Sosinskiy

Viacheslav Sosinskiy works in advanced materials and anticorrosion technologies for the energy sector, focusing on translating engineering and R&D efforts into practical industrial solutions.

As President of Alteriver Inc. (Houston, TX), he oversees the development of protective-coating systems for high-demand operating environments. He led the design, construction, and launch of a full-cycle manufacturing facility in Monterrey, Mexico, establishing a modern production base for advanced protective systems.

His current work includes materials and barrier technologies for CCUS, with an emphasis on reliability, corrosion resistance, and long-term durability across CO₂ infrastructure.
Earlier in his career, Viacheslav managed engineering, construction, and operational programs in technology-driven organizations.

He holds a Master’s degree in Applied Physics and Mathematics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, as well as an MBA.

Mr. Richard Ian MacMoy actually went to school for Marketing and worked with Chet Holmes in his early years but found success in bankruptcies’ throughout the 1990s. It wasn’t until he added reconditioning of metals to his portfolio, 25 years ago, that he began down the road of coatings, plating and surface metallurgy. Once he found the value and science behind metal finishes, he became an industry expert in coating and plating processes. Richard and his wife, April MacMoy purchase the Switzerland based company Thermission, a (TDZ) thermal diffused zinc company in the fall of 2021. He currently is the API 20P Chair, over Coatings and Plating for the American Petroleum Institute. Where they are also working on hydrogen containment @1321 psi., geothermal conditions and CCS (carbon capture and storage). Mr. MacMoy is also a NACE Corrosion Specialist CR-2 and has spent the 15 years working in root cause analyses failures in coating, plating applications and in 2014 (IHE) internal hydrogen embrittlement, in oil and gas tools. In 2016 he was asked to speak on the failures of coating and plating in respect to IHE, to the National Academy of Science/ BSEE/ Bureau of the Interior [Ref 12]. 2018 he worked to develop a life cycle solution for critical tension bolting maintenance with Wurth industries. In 2017-2019 Developed the API SC 21 paper on replacements for zinc plating. In 2021 formed Intermetallic Group, LLC, to bring the services, he preached to the industry. He continues today to bring a hydrogen cell barrier solution to the commercial markets with help from Alteriver™, in Monterrey, Mexico. Since working with Alteriver™, he has written four SPE papers about TDZ properties. He can easily be found on the internet giving direction and defining procedures for coating and plating solutions.
